I've always looked back at old retro school merch and wondered...its all hand drawn, made by students, why doesnt that happen today?? Turns out, its actually really easy. Offer to draw it! So, Aster and I offered to design the track and field merch this year, and got a yes! We made a few different designs, and sent them out in a survey for our team to vote. I drew one called "Waders" and one called "Scary Panther" (both are attached below).
In the end, panther evolution won! We transferred our physical design to digital via procreate, and worked on that for a couple days. Custom ink only allowed us three colors, so we focused in on what would best pop! We chose black hoodies so we wouldn't have to worry about coloring the panthers.
As of now, our designs are coming through the mail! Rawr! panther pride!
