Making My Graduation Card

The time had come....I'm off to college! My graduation card has been on my mind since I was in 7th grade- I've always wanted a weird, interesting, and expressive graduation card that represents who I really am as a person. In 11th grade, I decided I wanted a graduation card where I'm hitchhiking to college, with all these significant and odd items around me. I sketched out my vision, and proceeded to execution!
I dedicated a day to my photoshoot. Aster and I met up with Angela Dewitt, who would be our photographer. In advance, I sent Angela my sketch of my vision, gathered my materials, and picked up a live chicken to borrow from Melinda Ellis. I chose Melinda because I knew her chickens liked to be held. We took pictures from all different angles and lightings, it was slightly difficult- the sun was in my eyes and Angela had to stand out in the road to get the right angle. The setup also took a while, I had so much stuff! If I were to change anything, I'd take the photos at a different time of day.
After we took the pictures, Angela uploaded them to Google Drive, where I chose my favorite.
I found a website called zazzle, which gave me lots of editing capability in adding photos. I created a collage along the side that represents my entire life and experiences. Organizing the photos took some skill and patience, as to neatly fit everything I wanted on the card. I left the back blank as to leave room for hand written notes! The title of the card was created on procreate- normal fonts are BORING!!
I'm looking forward to giving this card to those I care about, I hope they get a kick out of it!
