Tell me to color an image: I'll grab the colored pencils. Colored pencils are awesome! They give the ability to change the value of your color depending on the pressure you apply; leaving room for interesting blending and color variation! That's exactly what this exercise was about in fact...blending colors through layering colored pencils with varying values! Ethan and I divided a simple coloring sheet to practice this, and it ended up pretty neat.
I've never been the type to put much effort into my coloring, I like to focus on technique in sketching and creating shapes. For that reason, this was a good activity for me. I found interest in colors when I had technique to test. I look forward to future coloring!
